Christmas has come and gone and we wish you all a wonderful 2010!!!

Yep this is a catch up photo that I couldn't resist adding-a week ago prior to going to church she was very quiet in the bathroom and this is what I got...yep she found the pantie liners!

We got a wonderful surprise the Friday before Christmas...an outfit from Shelby's foster mom all the way from China. Shelby was home with a fever, cough, and runny nose but that meant we were home to sign for the package. We also got 2 more baby pictures that we didn't have.

Finally it's Christmas morning! She got a little irritated that we were stalling her to get out of the bedroom (Gram was trying to get ready with the video camera so we could capture the moment). Well the moment turned into her screaming at the top of her lungs "I don't want it!"...not sure what she didn't want except not to be in the bedroom. It took her a minute but she finally zoomed in on her talking Elmo, kitchen, and baby area. She had a ball opening and throwing each piece away as she tore it off. You should see the living room...what's left of it anyway.

Yep look close and you will see the M&Ms that are on top of her biscuit and gravy. They were in her stocking but she thought they would make a good condiment...yuck and she ate it on the eggs too!

We finished off at the Wardski's and she loved trying to strike Kenzie out on the WII (with Joe Joe's help that is)

Happy Thanksgiving all...we had another wonderful Turkey day at the farm!

From birthday til now what's been going on?

We had a shower at church on October 3rd to officially welcome Shelby home. It was wonderful we had brunch type food and of course cake. We had asked for fall and winter clothes since most of Shelby's wardrobe was for summer ware. Wow did we get spoiled. So many cute things!!! There was also a money tree and now we are set to buy a spring wardrobe too...could one little girl be any more blessed? I don't think so.







I think Shelby had a great time!!!


This is a high chair that was on back order that came for Shelby's birthday and she loves to feed her bitty baby-Thanks Aunt Jen, Uncle Craig, Austin and Avery!!



Aunt Charlotte and Uncle Harold came for a visit in October and the girls went to the pumpkin patch. Shelby loved looking at the animals and walking around like a big girl. Aunt Charlotte let her slide several times and this is one of her favorite things to do!






We started Halloween week off with a trip to the zoo for Ghouls at Grassmere. The animals were up but we got to paint a pumpkin, take a hay ride (Shelby pointed at all the scary stuff and laughed), and trick or treat. She didn't get the whole hold your basket up but she sure liked the treats!





On Wednesday we went to church for trunk-n-treat. The Harnists plus Hailey joined us and we had lots of fun. We ate at the cook out and then we were off. Tonight she figured if you hold your basket up you get candy and she said trick or treat for the first time!



So now it's Halloween and we went to the Wards for a wienie roast and more trick or treating. Shelby was a trooper. She walked almost the whole way and when Kenzie and Gracie took off for a door we were right with them. She loved the roasted marshmallows and was worn out when we got home.


We are now counting down to Thanksgiving when we get to go to Minden and see all our family. Shelby still has some cousins to meet and we can't wait to hug them!!!

A good time was had by all!!

We had our official celebration on Friday and Shelby had a great time! We were going to celebrate at the park but the never ending rain foiled that plan. So we gathered at the house for family, friends, and food. Shelby is a pro at opening gifts-gift bags or boxes she is up for the challenge. Her sweet tooth was in attendance and she loved the cake-as you can see in one of the pictures below she went for the whole shebang and we indulged for a moment or two. Thanks for all the great presents everyone!!
