Easter joy and merriment!!

On Good Friday I was lucky enough to be off (I had already put in 40 hours) and we spent the day with Aunt Lauri, Jacob, and Connor. WE had lunch and then Connor went with us to the park. It was a great start to a beautiful weekend!!

On Saturday it started off with rain but the sun came out and the Easter egg hunt at church went on. We had the Easter story first with the resurrection eggs and then the kids were off. Shelby was off with a fury (this was her 3rd hunt so she pretty much is an expert).

Eater morning!!!

This was a rare moment. Shelby wanted me to hold her "like a baby" so she could drink her baba. I didn't mind one bit!!!

Pretty as a picture! Thanks to Renita from work (she gave us this dress last year for one of my showers and it fits perfect just in time for Easter).

We had Easter dinner at the Wardskis and that was loads of fun as usual. Shelby was impressed with Kenzie rolling down the hill in her human gerbil ball. If her legs would have been a little longer I think she would have joined in the fun. We had another egg hunt and then it was bubble time. Daxton likes to try and hit them with his bat and Shelby was trying to stomp as many as she could.

This was Monday night after work...Shelby got her Easter basket and purse and informed mom and I she was going to work! Gotta love the shades and jam jams!

Hi,

Thank you so much for your message about praying for Siyue (Sienna). We are SO blessed to be her parents and are so glad that Amy had her heart tuned to God's leading that her Molly was still out there. We love our sweet Sienna and can't wait to travel to get her. We are so anxious to follow Amy's journey to get her Molly, she is precious!

Congratulatons on your 1 year referral anniversary! :-) Our Danika likes to be "held like a baby" for her bottle too!

Happy Mother's Day Jenny!!!

Still waiting for Shelby...

Our wait for Shelby began on September 13, 2005. We are now very close to being with our angel. We hope to travel in early 2009. This has been a journey filled with many highs and lows. I want to take this oppportunity to thank everyone who has stood by me and prayed for us. My mom-she has been on this roller coaster from the first informational meeting and we take turns keeping each other grounded, my family-my grandma who helped me have the best nursery ever and my LA gang-for not giving up that they will soon have another niece and cousin, friends-way to many to name but I'm going to try (and if I leave someone out don't fret we will call it a paper pregnancy moment)-Lauri (all the cards), the Wardskis, Jen., Lisa, Sheri, Tiffany, my Hillcrest UMC friends...always patiently letting me cry, vent, and forever guess at what China will do next, and last but not least my work family-I can't even begin to express how they have kept me lifted up...from Sally starting her hair bow collection, Chinese New Year celebrations, Sebrina always keeping up with the rumor queen and marking the days off as we get them, and finally all the cards and pick me ups left quietly on my desk at the most needed times. They always know when the end of the month comes (referral time) I need a shoulder and pep talk and never waiver in staying positive. So thank you all again for what you have done and all that I know you will do until we have "Shelby Marie from Tennessee" (from the famous ? my dad had for her in her quilt scrapbook "Shelby Marie are you really from Tennessee...you look Chinese to me")
